Tariq's Story
Head of E-commerce, Europe
Before joining Highlands in 2020 as a Marketplace Account Executive, I held e-commerce roles in both the UK and Nigeria. My journey is shaped by growing up in Ghana and Nigeria and studying across continents, earning a diploma in Russian Language (Kharkiv National University, Ukraine), a BSc in Financial Economics & Accounting, and an MSc in Marketing (Swansea University, UK).
At Highlands, I was promoted to Account Manager within three months, helping brands scale on Amazon across the UK and Europe. After benefiting from our in-house mentoring program, I became Head of E-commerce Europe in September 2024, leading a talented team to deliver growth and explore new opportunities. My goal is to continue developing as a manager and e-commerce leader—and Highlands is the perfect place to achieve this.
Vickie’s Story
BDM – National Accounts
Before joining Highlands as a Business Development Manager, I worked within IT Distribution for 13 years. During this time, I had the amazing opportunity to work across varying roles from Supply Chain Management, SAP Project Team Member and as an Account Manager for the Retail Channel. This experience based a solid foundation which only enhanced my passion for identifying sales opportunities and collaborating with clients to achieve success.
At Highlands, I have been able to progress my skillset even further whilst developing a firm understanding of the B2B market. I have also had great opportunities made available to further enhance my experience, with the supportive nature of our Management Team. The B2B Sales Team at Highlands are ambitious, talented and driven to identify and drive opportunities forward, they are an inspiration to work alongside.
I see my future with Highlands as one of growth, innovation, and continued success.
